Dr Taylor

"I believe that in primary eye care, early detection is the key to successful treatment. So many eye conditions, including amblyopia, glaucoma and macular degeneration, can be effectively treated if caught early."

"I enjoy being a part of the small community of Sussex County. I have lived in the Lewes / Rehoboth area since 1997 and have come to love the area and the people.” During Optometry school Dr. Taylor was awarded an Armed Forces Optometric Scholarship. Upon graduation he served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy working at the Naval Hospital Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, Washington. After serving for three years he and his wife Vickie moved across country to provide primary eye care in our local area. “Since I am from Mechanicsburg, PA and my wife grew up in Williamsburg, VA it seemed a perfect fit when this opportunity on the coast became available."

Dr. Taylor's patient care is augmented by his access to the latest equipment at the Delaware Eye Institute. "It is a pleasure to be able to offer and follow my patients with cutting edge technology. Having access to the latest topographers, optical coherence tomograghy, non-dilated fundus cameras and the fastest visual fields analyzer makes diagnosing my patients quicker and the treatment more successful."

When not working Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and Gordon setter. You will often find him taking advantage of the coastal outdoors surfing, boating, fishing and running. There are rumors of him hunting as well but that is up for debate.
