Dr. Schwartz is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. He received his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Maryland. He completed his three year ophthalmology residency at the Washington Hospital Center, and then continued on to complete his subspecialty fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. He has performed thousands of retinal laser surgeries and treats all aspects of retinal diseases, including diabetes, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and vision threatening ocular infections.
