Glaucoma Diagnostic Testing - Delaware Eye Institute

Patients diagnosed with, or suspected of developing glaucoma will undergo regular diagnostic testing. Delaware Eye Institute utilizes the most modern diagnostic equipment. Both of our offices are equipped with Nerve Fiber Analyzers and Visual Field Perimeters.

Glaucoma damages the Optic Nerve through increased intraocular pressure. Nerve Fiber Analyzers, such as our GDX and OCT machines, measure and track the damage done to the Optic Nerve. These new instruments often allow our physicians to treat this disease before permanent vision loss occurs.

We also offer Visual Field machines in both offices. A Visual Field test measures and tracks peripheral vision loss caused by glaucoma. Glaucoma diagnostics are painless tests performed in the office.
